Community guidelines

Unera is built for students living abroad to meet, chat, create events, and feel less isolated. These guidelines keep the community safe, respectful, and useful.

1. Unera is 18+

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Unera.
  • Minors are not allowed to create or use accounts.
  • Report suspected underage accounts or child safety risks immediately.

2. Be respectful

  • No harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • No hate speech or degrading content based on nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected traits.
  • No humiliation, doxxing, blackmail, or pressure to share private information.

3. Keep profiles authentic

  • Use accurate university and profile information.
  • Do not impersonate another person, create fake profiles, or misrepresent your identity.
  • Do not upload photos of someone else without permission.

4. No sexual exploitation or unsafe sexual conduct

  • No child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, or sexualized content involving minors.
  • No non-consensual intimate content, sexual harassment, coercion, threats, or pressure.
  • No use of Unera for prostitution, trafficking, or exploitation.

5. Use chats and groups responsibly

  • Do not spam, flood, scam, or manipulate users.
  • Do not share malware, phishing links, or suspicious external links.
  • Respect group purpose and leave conversations when asked.

6. Events and offline safety

  • Create events with honest details about time, place, cost, and requirements.
  • Do not create events that encourage illegal activity, unsafe behavior, discrimination, or exploitation.
  • Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and report unsafe behavior.

7. Respect privacy

  • Do not post private information about another person without consent.
  • Do not screenshot or share private conversations to shame, harass, or threaten someone.
  • Do not pressure users to move to another platform if they do not want to.

8. Reporting and blocking

If something feels unsafe or violates these guidelines, use the in-app report tools. You can also block users to limit contact. Serious child safety or CSAE concerns can be sent to info@unera.app.

9. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit visibility, restrict features, suspend accounts, deactivate accounts, delete accounts, or escalate serious matters to appropriate authorities. Enforcement may depend on context, severity, repeat behavior, and safety risk.
