Welcome to Unera, operated by Unera App ("we", "our", or "us"). Unera is a social application that connects university students worldwide, enabling chat, event sharing, and community building across campuses and countries.

We respect privacy and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act and Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable laws. By using Unera, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Data we collect

• Personal information: full name, email address, profile photo.
• Usage data: app activity, device and OS details, IP address, language, region, and aggregated interaction data via analytics.
• We do not intentionally collect special categories of data such as health, religion, or political opinions.

3. Purpose of processing

• Account creation and authentication.
• Core features such as chat, events, and networking.
• Service communications like login links, resets, and important notices.
• Analytics, product improvement, security, and abuse prevention.

We never sell personal data.

8. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. If a user deletes their account, personal data is permanently removed within 30 days unless longer retention is legally required.
